A delicious, but forbidden*, childhood treat. Consisting of white bread and butter, with a yummy sugar filling.
*: forbidden by my mother, on the grounds that sugar butties were a staple in poor families, and thus 'infra dig'. However, our housekeeper, the enabling Mrs McDaid**, would always sneak me one when I got home from school, as my mom would be busy seeing patients.
